In this humorous novel by Leslie What, Zeus and Hera are alive in contemporary New York and getting along just as well as they always do... which is to say, not very well. Both are aging and not wearing it well. Zeus is trying to show that, despite his age, he "still has it," and drives a flashy sports car, beds every young woman he can, and attempts to start his own religion. The pony-tail wasn't in the book but I felt that it really conveyed the attitide. Hera, who is holding her insectile son Igor, is a shrewish harpy past her prime who still think she's the Gods' gift to men. It was so nice to bust out and do a funny fantasy cover for a change, and I'm especially happy with how the colors and lighting came out.
