Week ending February 16th. Zachary is 1 year old (plus a little bit.)
Let's see, here's the Zachary update these days: He's been sick a little bit,
and just got over a couple days of having a fever. He's now officially crawling,
not just dragging his belly across the floor. He's not walking yet, but who needs to
when your parents will always lend their fingers to walk you areound anywhere.
Zachary is using sign language a bit more these days, pointing at everything, and making
word-like utterances. ("Da!" "Ma!" "Ba!" "Deedleedleedle.")
Now that he is getting aorund so much, though, we need to have a baby gate up
to keep him from crawling up the stairs. ("What do you mean I can't go up there?!?")

Just hanging out at the coffee table:

And just hanging upside-down in the bedroom:

"Let's see, I know I've got some plastic do-hickeys in this busy-table here..."

"Oh, here one is!"

Week ending March 2nd. Zachary is 13 months old.
We had the ladder out his week to change a light bulb and Zach had fun crawling around it:

Zacahry playing with some styrofoam packing material:

Zachary is into self-feeding right now: We can still feed him with a spoon, but he often wants to just do it himself...

But his aim isn't quite there yet.

Oh well, we still have fun.

He also likes combing his own hair:

Doesn't he look nice?

This week Zachary discovered he could walk around using Toby's bird cage stand as a "walker."
He proceeded to explore the entire fimily room with his newfound locomation aid.

Sorry the video is sideways: I don't know how to fix that, so just turn your monitor on its side.
Soundtrack: Mike Doughty. Squeaky voice off-camera: Mike Dashow

Week ending March 16th. Zachary is 13 and a half months old.
Sorry, we've been really busy this week and still haven't got to last week's photos.
But we hope these videos tide you over for your Zachary fix:

From observing us, Zach has figured out the basic of how to use the phone:

Zachary flying with mommy's help (It's worth it to hear the giggles):

Zach singing at a dinner at Nana and Gramps' house. That's Aunt Karen responding to him in the background.

And a very short final one, the Zach Attach:

Don't worry, it wasn't as paintful as it sounded... We'll try to get the photos up sometime, too!
Week ending March 29th. Zachary is 14 months old.

Zachary having fun at the dinner for Gary a couple of weeks ago. I posted the video then, here's the photo:

Zachary talking on the phone (which is unplugged):

And Zach and Mommy at Shai Tabb's Bat Mitzvah. Doesn't he look dapper?

And here's your video-of-the-week: Zachary playing kazoo. But it's fun for the whole family!
Zach gets mommy to join in, and right after the video ended due to Zachary charging the camera,
I found that Zachary had come over to insist that I play the Kazoo too!

Oh, by the way, when you see an image with a play-button arrow in the middle of it (and a track at the bottom),
that means it's a video that you can watch. Just click on the image to play the video.

Week ending April 7th.

It's the Thursday morning Toddler-fest! Here are many of the kids who come over with their moms to our place on Thursdays
now that they're too old for the Kaiser Permanente Moms&Babies get-togethers. From left to right, we have Zach, Olivia,
Zimena, Satya, Atticus (standing in front,) Scarlett, and Jack.

Zachary out for a walk in the yard with Mommy:

Zachary and the door to our bedroom. Not the greatest picture of him per se, but what a neat color composition!

Zachary's combing Mommy's hair!

Don't believe me? Check out the video!

Here's another video of Zachary eating dinner.

Week ending April 20th.

Zachary walking around with Nana:

Zachary playing at the coffee table:

Zachary crawling around the floor with no clothes on. You'll notice he got an extreme haircut this week.

Zachary at the Zoo with mommy, daddy, and Mike's mom who was visiting.

Similar shot with Zach trying on Mommy's shades.

And now for some videos:
I'm shooting the video while Talia as popping up behind me to the left, right, and above.
Zach is looking around playing spot-the-mommy and giggling his head off!

Mommy was spending some time cleaning up this week. Zachary here is pitching in to wipe down
the plastic mat that goes underneath his high-chair.

The lighting in this is terrible, sorry about that! But we thought it worth posting
because of the cute noises Zach is making as he reads a book to himself.

Mom and Lou gave Zachary a "Wiggly Giggler" as a present: It's a toy that makes
a weird noise when you shake it, which Zach did in a quite intense, determined fashion.

That's all the videos for this week. (...thankfully!)

May 13th, 2008.

Sorry we haven't udated the page in a while. We just haven't had any good pictures to post.
Take this week (or rather the last three) for example. We have a total of one good shot to share.
Talia turned her back one day and returned to the kitchen to find that someone had crawled up into the dishwasher!

Sorry, we'll post more when we have anything good to share!
