Age 9-12 months Welcome to another page full of photos of Zachary George Dashow. To see photos of ages 0-3 months, click here. For photos of ages 3-6 months, click here. For photos of ages 6-9 months, click here. To see the most recent photos, click here. Week ending November 10th. Zachary is 9 months old (plus a little bit.) Life has been busy, so we're sorry we haven't been updating this page as often as we used to. It didn't help that we had a nice batch of good photos on the camera that somehow disappeared. :( Zachary is getting so big. He can even stand... as long as he's being held up by mom and dad!
...or in his jumper.
Yummy cardboard tube!
And here's the word of the week: Pbbbbbbttttth!
Week ending November 18th. Zachary is 9 and a half months old. A lazy morning in bed:
As you can see, Zachary is starting to stand, albeit not unaided.
He's definitely crawling around a bunch!
In fact, he's so fast at crawling, he can easily beat the giant panda in a race:
Today we spent the day with Nana for her birthday. What a treat for both Nana and Zachary!
Week ending November 24th. Zachary is almost 10 months old. Zachary in his excersaucer
Zachary underneath his excersaucer. Peekaboo!
With Daddy, on the kitchen floor as mom makes food (and snaps a picture.)
Sitting on Gramps' lap on Thanksgiving. (Sorry we didn't get too many good Thanksgiving photos.)
In bed in the morning:
What an exhausting week!
Week ending December 1st. Zachary is 10 months old. Zachary is actively commando-crawling around everywhere now:
And lots of pictures in the high chair. He's eating a lot more solid foods now.
Yet another shot of Zach sitting on Gramps' lap:
Our smiley guy:
Week ending December 16th. Zachary is 10 and a half months old. Zachary standing, and even walking a little if we hold his hands:
Here he is with Mommy:
Here he is with Daddy (especially Daddy's glasses!):
We spent this past Sunday with Nana and Gramps to celebrate Don's (Gramps') birthday this week. Much fun was had playing in the Living Room. Zach also got to wear his new Chanukkah sweater from Bubbie and Zaide.
And of course the now seemingly obligatory weekly shot of Zach in Gramps' lap! Happy Birthday, Don!
Week ending December 22nd. Zachary is almost 11 months old. He's still commando-crawling around:
No, Daddy, don't hit me! Just kidding - Zachary has been playing "touch my own head" this week, it's really cute.
Okay, all done!
Zachary is staring to pull himself up on low furniture like the coffee table. Today he even did a little "cruising," which means walking by himself with the support of the coffee table... At least 'til he got to the end of the table and fell down.
Oh, and please take note of our spiffy new rug! Week ending December 29nd. Zachary is 11 months old. We spent Christmas in San Francisco with family. Jeremy was even in town!
You can see how long Zachary's hair is getting here:
It was usually in his eyes, and as much as we loved his long locks, there was no denying that it was really time to take him for his first haircut. Doesn't he look like he's enjoying it?
But with the new haircut, at least we don't have to constantly brush it out of his eyes. It felt a little "generic" at first, but it's growing on us. Here are some shots of the "new" Zachary: Walking
Crawling
and reading to himself! (Yes, we're certain he knows all the words!)
Have a happy New Year, everyone! Stay tuned for more in 2008! Week ending January 5th, 2008. Not a lot of great pictures this week: As you can see from all of the Kleenex, Zach has had a cold.
Can we get a smile from you anyhow, Zach?
We did, however, pick up some new toys for Zach (he does have a birthday coming up.) Maybe he'll show some musical talent?
Well, at least he's environmentally conscious and uses the recycling like Mommy and Daddy do:
Week ending January 19th, 2008. Here's Zach out exploring the wild:
Zachary has now graduated to the larger baby-tub, which is inflatable.
And after the bath time, Zachary "helps" brush this own hair!
He also helps with the laundry...
...and with the cleaning (that's a vacuum cleaner nozzle in his hands there)...
...and he gets into recycling too!
Here he is on his play table. Look at all those teeth!
Here we are out for a weekend walk along the coast in Alameda.
Next week: Zach's first birthday! Week ending January 27th, 2008. Zachary is One Year Old! ...Or at least he will be by the end of this entry. But we're going to blow out the rest of this page with a big bang and a ton of new photos! (I apologize in advance for any accidental misspellings of names.) Let's start with last weekend at the Childrens' Playground at Golden Gate Park. Dad, you'll see that the Dinosaur jacket you gave him a while back finally fits!
And here's Zach playing on his activity table:
But contrary ot the impression my photography usually gives, Zachary isn't always in a charming mood.
At least his choice in sweatshirts was appropriate.
On to birthday stuff, such as opening presents:
Oh look! Some measuring cups of my very own from Uncle Jeremy and Aunt Charlotte! This is the coolest present ever!
Opening presents at Judith and David's house for brunch. (Look at the cutre little vest!)
The whole Ehrlich family, 4 generations' worth:
On Zachary's birthday itself (January 27th) he had lots of friends over for a big party!
Aunt Karen was there.
As well as lots of friends! There were Elinor and Molly...
Atticus
Gavin
Isabella
Kaylia and her mom Heather
An upside-down Satya and her mom Elizabeth
Meanwhile, Satya's dad Shreyas read Zach a story
Sophia was there with her mom Lucretia
and Zimina with her dad Brian
Boy, we had a great time!
