Zach Dashow:
Age 3-6 months

This is the batch of photos of Zachary George Dashow from 3 months old to 6 months old.

Week ending April 28th. Zachary is now three months old!
And Talia an Mike have been married 5 years today... And together for exactly 12 and a half years... wow!
We haven't had any good pictures of Nana Marcia up here yet, so here's one from this week...
Thanks for babysitting, Mom and Dad!

Zachary is usually in a cheerful mood when on his changing table:

Here's him and Mommy in bed this morning:

And lastly for this week, some fun shots of Zachary with all different expressions:

Week ending May 5th. Zachary is 14 weeks old!
Not a ton of pictures this week, but here are a couple of cute shots:

Zachary waves hello to you

(not really, his hand just happens to be up like that.)

Zachary says good night to you.

(not really, he can't talk, he just falls asleep.)

Week ending May 12th. Zachary is 15 weeks old.
Mom and Lou were out to visit this week, so here are a bunch of pictures of Zach with Baba-Lou:

In Adam and Erica's backyard for a little barbecue:

And by popular request, a photo of Zach wearing his "Flipper Slippers." As you can see, he loves them!

Week ending May 26th. Zachary will be exactly 4 months old tomorrow!
We skipped a week because we were off in Seattle and Tacoma. Sorry!
But here are some pictures from that trip, one week ago, as well as some from this past week.

This was Mike's Grandma's first chance to meet Zachary. He was happy to meet her, too!

Mike's dad's first time with Grandson Zach, also:

Dad's fiancee Annie also had fun holding him:

Here's the whole Dashow clan together, four generations' worth. (Mike's sister Carrie is in the top center.)

Here's just the three of us at the hotel. Hi!

And here's a couple of pictures of us from this past week, back at home:

Week ending June 2nd. Zachary is 18 weeks old.
Bubbe, you've been asking for 4-month-old pictures of Zach. I think some of these would be perfect. Do you like any of them?

Look how cute he always is! You know why? Because I never take snapshops of him when he's crying and grumpy!
In reality, he can be fussy and unhappy like any other baby, too.

Also this week, Laura and Graham had a bunch of folks over for a Memorial Day barbecue. Here are a few snaps from that, with Laura and with Sara:

Week ending June 9th. Zachary is 19 weeks old.
Zachary is not always this excited to be in his overly-snug car seat, but this time is the exception:

And here Zach is playing with Mommy's legs, in bed.

That's all!

Week ending June 16th. Zachary is 20 weeks old.
It's probably some sort of precursor to teething, but Zachary has been spending a lot of time lately with
as many fingersas possible crammed into his mouth. (His record is six.)

He's wearing his pirate shirt, a hand-me-down from Kristina and Leks. He wore it when we went to see Pirates of the Caribbean last week.
We spent Fathers' Day over at Don and Marcia's. Here are some shots of us all on their new deck:

I don't have pictures, but Zach gave his daddy, granddad, and great-granddad handmade mugs with his foot-prints on it.
We suspect he might have had some collaborator.. Oh, look! Here's mommy!

Week ending June 24th. Zachary is 21 weeks old.
Aunt Karen came and visited us this week. She got to spend some quality time with Zach
(and thus we got to spend some quality time with each other!)

On Saturday, Heidi (from Talia's Kaiser New Moms group) and Brian had a barbecue at their house.
Some of the other new moms were there, and their babies got to play together on the floor...
Or at least lie down in the general vicinity of each other and pose for photos.
Vanna and Jared's boy Atom is on the left, and Melanie's girl Olivia is on the right.
(Heidi and Brian's girl Zimena was sleeping at the time.)
And yes, they're all about the same age!

And lastly, the usual shots of Zach being just plain adorable:

Week ending June 30th. Zachary officially turned 5 months old this week.
It's Saturday morning, and I'm updating the web site while Talia and Zach are still asleep in bed:

One of the big new developments with Zach is that he's rolling over from back to belly
(and sometimes the other way too.) This started one night, literally overnight (and all night, too!)
A more gradual development is the increasing ability to easily lift his head.
They're a little blurry, but here are some excellent examples of the latter skill.

Sorry, that's all! It's been a slow news week.

Week ending July 7th.
Zachary is a big boy now and can hold up his heavy head all by himself!

Zachary seems to love it when daddy or mommy help him to "fly," or let him hang upside-down.
Often, he has to stop for some mid-air refeuling of kisses, and much giggling ensues.

Week ending July 15th.
As I mentioned 2 weeks ago, Zachary is now doing a lot of rolling over from back to belly, or visa versa.
Sometimes he stops or gets stuck half-way from one to the other.

Part of Zach's bedtime routine every night is an infant massage from Daddy.
While this would be relaxing to most adults, Zachary seems to think it's special time for more wiggling.
His favorite part is when Daddy does the leg-lifts, which always causes Zachary to giggle.

His least favorite part is being on his belly:

Week ending July 21st. Zach is 25 weeks old.
Sorry, we were asleep this week when it came to taking good pictures of Zachary.

Week ending July 29th. Zachary turned six months old this week, on July 27th!
So in celebration and to close this page with a bang, we present the Zachapalooza, a veritable cavalcade of fun photos!

First one of my (Mike's) favorites: Often when Zachary wakes in the morning, I'm downstairs working out or making breakfast.
When I come upstairs to the bedroom, it's his first time seeing me for the day. This is the smile I get when he first sees me:

Now that he's six months old, we can start advancing him beyond just plain breastmilk and formula.
He's starting to learn how to use a sippy-cup of water:

(Or not...)

...And he's had the chance to try his first solid food: Prunes!
What does baby Zachary think of prunes?

Also on his "un-birthday," we took him for a sunny stroll around Piedmont Avenue.

Although you can't quite tell from his photo, Zachary generally loves it when Daddy lifts him up,
holds him upside-down, or makes him fly. (It's the kissing part he's unsure about.)

And that's all from Zachary this week. Say bye-bye, Zach-Zach!

One last note: Up 'til now, we've been updating this page regularly once a week.
Sometimes it means struggling for pictures just to ensure that we have a weekly update.
From now on, we won't necessarily be updating it on a weekly basis. We'll be adding pictures when we get them.
It might be weekly, but it might not. We'll try to update photos at least once every other week.
No updates next week, though, because we'll be in L.A. visiting Bubbie and Zaide.
