The first 3 months On January 27th, 2007, Zachary George Dashow was born. Here are piles of photos of him from his first three months to share with you. To see more recent photos, you can go here. Zach, Talia, and Mike in the delivery room minutes after he was born:  Zachary was 19 inches long, and 6 pounds, 12 ounces.  Here we are in the recovery room:  In good spirits:  A visit from Nana Marcia and Grandpa Don. Shortly after, Don and I went and got Chinese take out for all of us. Talia was fed in the hospital, but I lived on the leftovers for 2 days!  Happy, tired parents:  Look how tiny he is!    A simple finger in the mouth is all he needs to calm him down:  Back home:    Up in the bedroom, Mom and Dad spend a couple of weeks just relaxing (aside from waking up at all hours to feed.):   Mommy with baby:  Grandpa Don:  Four generations of men:  Bubbe and Zaide:  Just Bubbe Sylvia:  Sylvia and Great Aunt Lois in our living room:  ...and some more shots of just Zachary:    Proud, happy, tired mommy!  Standing out on the quilt that Amy made us  Mommy and Zach caught asleep - not all that unusual - by a less restful Daddy  Oops, I'm awake now! Change my diaper!  ...and sure enough, here we are right after changing his diaper. His sleep-sacks are still a tad bit large on him.  Here's Zachary after a bath  And then after a bath, it's time for a nap!  Zachary will put anything in his mouth!  And here's just a plain old cute picture of Zach on his play-gym mat  Sorry we didn't get any new photos up last week. As compensation, here's an extra-big load this week! Zach after a bath. (He doesn't aprticularly like baths.)  Zach's bedtime:  ...And then in the morning, time to get up again. Zach's yawning, he probably didn't sleep all night. But you can tell from Talia's cheerful disposition that this photo was likely taken some time after 12pm. :)  Grandpa Don gets to hold the baby on his first outing to a Dim Sum parlor (which he slept through.)  And lastly for this week, Zachary in his musical swinging chair. Especially exciting this week: He's started smiling more often! He's also just started noticing the animals in the chair whirling overhead. It took some patience, but I'm glad I captured this on camera.   Week ending March 24th. Zachary is 8 weeks old today. Awake as we change his diaper:  Not awake early in the morning (pooped out after being up all night):  And excited in his car seat as we head off to the Farmers' Market.  Week ending March 31st. Zachary is 9 weeks old. Mommy gets to feed baby outside.  Uncle Jeremy gets to meet Zachary for the first time while out on the West Coast for Pesach and a Shakespeare Conference.  Zachary and Grandpa Don making faces at each other!  Zach and his Daddy also get to make faces.  Baby Zach makes faces at you, too!   Week ending April 7th. Zachary is 10 weeks old. Great Unlce Jim holds Zach at his first Passover seder. (Zachary's, not Jim's)  Zach is smiling more and more, and he especially enjoys his rainforest swing. (Thank you, Adam and Erica!)  And just some shots of Talia holding the baby. Despite our photos, he's not always smiling!:   Week ending April 14th. Zachary is now 11 weeks old. I really love this week's photos because they represent the Zach we see every day: They're his more typical expressions, not just the "glamour shots" of fleeting smiles that we, through diligence and unlimited digital "film," manage to capture. Zach looking around as Daddy burps him. Look how red his hair looks when the light hits it!  Zach gets a kiss from his horsey toy:  ...and a common Zachary pose: Fist inserted into mouth. Yummmm!  Week ending April 21st. Zachary is now 12 weeks old. Sorry we're so late with this week's update. Busy weekend! A couple of family shots this week... At Garth and Cara's house:  ...and at home with Toby too!  And one more of just Zach on the play-mat again. (But compare this one to the previous play-gym-mat photo, from 7 weeks ago... Wow, how he's growing!)  Week ending April 28th. Zachary is now three months old! And Talia an Mike have been married 5 years today... And together for exactly 12 and a half years... wow! We haven't had any good pictures of Nana Marcia up here yet, so here's one from this week... Thanks for babysitting, Mam and Dad!
